Baronscourt Brewing Company

September 8, 2018

I was glad to see Baronscourt Brewing Company in attendence. Theyre a Local Micro brewery producing artisan beers right here in Tyrone; Baronscourt to be exact (bet you knew that already tho!) The Company is the brain child of local businessman John Wauchob and IBD qualified brewer Adam Colhoun. Now, if im honest I don’t know (that) much about beer but Adam and John spent loads of time (before they even knew we were bloggers) patiently explaining their products and recommending what to sample (with a bit of chocolate or choritzo). They also gratiously let me rearrange their display for my photos so we really were off to a great start.

The three beers they brought to the Omagh Food Festival were their Huntsman Wheat Beer (4.5% ABV), The Last Stag Red Ale (4.&% ABV) and Black Sheep Stout (5% ABV). My personal favourite was the Stout. The dark chocolate they offered paired well with the smooth, rich creamy and slightly sweet flavour of the Stout. This is one I would definitely buy again. These guys may be a new brewery but they are already stocked in bars and off licences in Tyrone and beyond. Their beers are made to their own recipes and each bottle label gives details of what dish they compliment (love this idea so I can sound like I know what im talking about AND get the most out of the dishes and the beer). For instance the Wheat Beer is the perfect to accoompnment to pork, pasta, chicken or fish, the ale pairs well with venison, pheasant, steak or lamb and for the sweet toothed amoung you it tastes amazing with choholate! They recommend the stout is paired with creamy sauces and full flavoured meats such as venision, steak, lamb and grilled chicken.

Baronscourt Brewing Company

If you missed Baronscourt Brewing Company at Omagh Food Festival then fear not, they are attending North West Brew Fest Craft Drinks Festival (22 September) as well as Festival Lough Erne (22-23 September).

Thanks for reading, if you’ve been lucky enough to try and of Baronscourt Brewing Companies offers please feel free to let us all know what you think by leaving a comment below.
