Stuck in a creative rut lately, and looking for some blog post ideas? Well, you’ve come to the right place!
Here are some of my blog post ideas for when your have writers block and haven’t a notion what to post about!
- A list of things to blog about when you don’t know what to blog about… (lol I do actually have a few blog posts nearly finished but it’s good to be prepared).
- 10 things you probably didn’t know about me (I really have no filter so this one would be epic!)
- My favourite inspirational quote (so many…so so many!)
- Interview with a fellow blogger (lmao I’m writing a short list already!!)
- My most embarrassing moments – so far… (OMG. This would have to be an on-going series of posts. Think : ‘Top 3 embarrassing things that happened me this month!’)
- A music playlist (this would be pretty random… and embarrassing!)
- Life hacks that actually worked for me (I’m nothing if not lazy so this would be very informative and useful for the nation as a whole!)
- An article you read recently and loved – Share and let your readers know how you feel about it (to be fair this could be anything from ‘which fruit has the most sugar in it’ to ‘latest Hollywood eyebrow trends’).
- Family (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha….. pass!)
- My favourite things about Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter (a separate post for each so that’s 4- result!!!)
- A reverse bucket list – list all the cool things you’ve done already (this is a happy positive one. I like this idea!!)
- Birthday wish list (ohhhh I could schedule it for December and tag John ?)
- A letter to my younger self (the fact I just found my old diary from when I was 15 could help with this!!)
- My top 5 Netflix series to binge watch (this would need updated every 3 months!)
- Dream Holiday bucket list (and then book one… ah I can dream ??♀️)
- What did/do you want to be when you grow up? (There’s still time!)
- Share a TBT of your biggest fashion mistakes and triumphs (can you say “gold high-heeded cowboy boots…”)
- 5 (10, 15…) screen-free family time ideas.
- My favourite meal as a kid and my favourite meal now.
- Apps you love. What are your phone or tablet must-haves, why do you love them? Why should people download them?
Feel free to leave a comment with your go-to blog post ideas or let me know what you think of my emergency blog post list ?

This is such a helpful post indeed. It definitely gave me some fresh ideas for blog posts. Great job.
Ooh such a helpful post when you can’t think what to post. some great ideas on here, thank you 🙂
Actually, I am not running out of ideas. I have so much back log . It’s the time to blog and share that I have a problem on more than ideas or topics to blog about. hahaha
Hahaha! I can relate. I still have a lot of places and events to blog about. I wish my weekends are longer!
Yeahhhh… My Sundays are usually spent with the kids and cleaning the house, so weekends are definitely not my productive time. hahaha Lots of activities for the kids.
This is helpful. But I always plan my posts since a looooong time. But it is helpful for some of my blogger friends. I’ll send them to your website..
Just in case you plan to do #4, I’d be willing to be interviewed. LOL. If I have time, I will definitely make a reverse bucket list (for a year-ender post).
With an injury, we have been stuck at home! this will be so helpful to us now!
1 and 9 made me laugh so much 😀
I also add “how to deal with (fill the blanks with some physical traits like long hair and so on) 🙂
Loved the title of your post and what drew us to read more. Have actually heard a lot of people when they meet us and get to know us as travel bloggers asking – “I also want to blog but I don’t know about what”. Next time, we would want to pass on the link of this post to them 🙂 for the lovely ideas shared here to get them started !
These are some great blogging topics! I liked 13 and 14 the most!
I think #7 is a post title and recipe that could potentially cause you post to go viral once it’s shared. (ie., Life hacks that actually worked for me is just a good idea because kids love to share these types of posts quickly.
This looks like some good post ideas. #20 writing about apps can probably grab traffic making your blog go viral.
I have a lot of times when I don’t know what to write about! So these suggestions are brilliant and i will keep them in mind! I especially liked the idea of top 5 Netflix series to binge watch 😉 But where to start with that….Thanks for sharing!
I was laughing all the way reading it.. my favorite among your topics are TBT of your biggest fashion mistakes and triumph.. as well as a letter to my young self… i have tons of backlogs about things I wanted to share but these 2 is now climbing my list!! Noted on all these 😉
I go through writer’s block every week and it’s so frustrating! My blog focuses on a specific topic so it can be hard to branch out while staying faithful to my niche.
I bookmarked this article. I do get moments like this – wanting to write but nothing to write about. Thanks for the help. I might start on one of your ideas right now. 🙂
Hahahah Thank you for sharing this! I find this very helpful. We usually came to a point when we do not know what to post hahaha. Now I have a guide
Lol this reminds me of myself , today I decided to go into a store and random pictures because I didn’t know what to right about then it sparked why don’t I have give away then all of a sudden I got inspired to write a story.
This is great for those stuck for ideas of what to write about. My biggest problem is finding the time to actually write.
That’s a great and useful list for newbie bloggers like me. Especially would try the embarrassing moments and life hacks ideas!
Aaaah… The dreaded writer’s blog….. Nothing worse than sitting down to write and nothing will come to you. Thanks for these tips. Going to try them next time when writer’s block hits.
What a great list. All writers at a time experience writer’s block, reason might be any. You just gave me an idea for atleast 50 blog posts. Amazing ideas. !!
Lol on updating the Netflix list every three months. SO TRUE! I really like these ideas – especially a letter to a younger self.
This is such a nice post and I am sure this will be a great help to all bloggers most especially to those beginners.
