Today I wanted to share one of the animated breathing exercises me and the boss use to help manage big emotions (and it’s not just for kids!)
Today was her first day back at school after the holidays and being off with the chicken pox and her anxiety was through the roof. So we spent a few minutes sitting in the car breathing in time to the blue dot before we went in.
It’s a healthy coping skill we’ve been practising for over a year now and does help manage feelings of nervousness, stress, anger etc. .
We don’t always use animation, she’s used to “just taking a breather” when she needs to; but sometimes even thinking about breathing is too much and this is one of our go to ones.
Pinterest has a plethora of breathing techniques available as including non-animated ones as well as other animated ones.
